Mr Landry then wrote on X: “It’s an honor to serve you in this volunteer position to make Greenland a part of the US.”

These fucking people. The USA needs to rid itself of these megalomaniac fascists.

Earlier this month, the Danish Defence Intelligence Service said in an annual report that the US was using its economic power to “assert its will” and threaten military force against friend and foe alike.

that’s just what good friends do O.o?

Trump saw the European response to Russia and figured why not take a bite out of a free pie?

What’s Europe gonna do, defend itself?

Remember who paid for the NGOs in Ukraine. Why would the US do that if Ukraine becomes part of Europe?

Denmark also has already allowed the US to build another base, after Trump had threatened to take Greenland last time.

They must be cooperating behind the scene and this is just a show for the public.

America is gifted Greenland as a thank you for so many years of investment and protection

It certainly could be. But it could also be basic appeasement that confirms to the aggressor they are dealing with someone weak who you can take even more from.

We will have to see because he’s also suffering from serious cognitive decline and there is ultimately no telling what he will follow through on

Denmark is not a young person in their first relationship. Furthermore they most likely have consulted the other Europeans. Those things are conscious decisions.

On the other side, Trump’s decline seems wishful thinking to me and doesn’t really matter. Like project 2025 he doesn’t do the thinking.

I think some doubt about what is happening is appropriate.

The current American administration ignoring some of the best advice ever given to me by an Elder, “Don’t go where you aren’t welcome.” Adding to this, Greenlanders, and Danes beyond this, are certainly not welcoming the idea that their homeland/territory should be absorbed by the United States of America. Their reputation as boorish tourists is rubbing off on their diplomacy as well, not a good idea.

No. This is real. We want the mineral wealth and the open sea lanes as the ice continues to melt. Greenland will be a serious strategic territory in the near future.

As I commented earlier, Trump won’t physically last long enough to pull this off and Vance isn’t the cult leader.

As with the AI bubble, we’re all praying for a crash ASAP. It will be painful, but we need to rip the bandage off.

We can accelerate the AI bubble. We just need to FUDpost about how AI surveillance will ensure we will getting progressively more and more authoritarian regimes, because AI surveillance corporations need weird arbitrary and harmless things to be illegal for it to be profitable. This is going to be private prisons on steroids.

Stopped having sympathy for Denmark when they decided to buy F-35s back in October. Like are you going to defend Greenland with american jets?

Bullshit. If the US decides to grab Greenland militarily, there is nothing, nothing, Denmark can do. Like, I wish there were, but there just isn’t. The purchase of F35s at least is an appeasement play to Trump’s transactional amoeba brain.

They’re pushing for “chat control” but they’re not pushing for the invasion of other countries. Only the USA is going full Hitler.
