I tried running a 2nd instance of Roblox simultaneously on macos 15 with another account but this shows up, if my mac can handle it then why can’t it just let me do it? If I have two copies of an app like Roblox in separate User/Applications folders, macos moves them to the /Applications/ folder.
Sometimes it won’t run apps claiming to be corrupted, so I then have to do sudo xattr -cr /Applications/someapp.app in the terminal and they run perfectly fine. It always nags me if I download apps from anywhere but mac app store. Some of these messages can only be gotten rid of by disabling system integrity protection, but then macos blocks you from running MAS apps due to having “permissive security”.
I don’t daily drive macOS anymore, I switched to Linux on my M1 mac where I can do whatever the hell I want.

That isn’t a Mac error message. It’s Roblox giving you that error.
Windows will not allow me to attach a file to an email because it is opened in Word 🤷
Word issue, not windows issue 🤔

Try right clicking on the file and selecting Open from the menu
this works in 95% of cases, try this before you go all the way into settings! most annoying part of mac is this stuff
You used to be able to hold alt and right click and choose open.
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine path/to/filewill remove that shit.Though personally, I get as much software as possible on my work MacBook through Nix, and only use
.dmgfiles if absolutely required.
I don’t daily drive macOS anymore
there’s no way a roblox kid is claiming to “daily drive” anything lol
Surpsingly a lot of adults play Roblox. I dislike the game but I was asked multiple times by my older peers to play Roblox.
I’m curious about your experience with a M1 Mac on Linux. Are you using Asahi Linux then?
I to want answers, I thought m1 had security limits to install Linux or any other os.
It’s obfuscated but not officially blocked. Their site is asahilinux.org. It’s not worth getting a macbook for yet imo , but it’s still super impressive, especially the graphics drivers. There are issues with Mac’s built in security stuff but that just means the fingerprint reader and probably some other stuff doesn’t work.
Interesting, thanks
But but… User dumb!

I have to daily drive a Mac for work, and it’s a constant pain. Fortunately, there are signs that the PC world is catching up with Apple hardware, most recently in the form of the Qualcomm Snapdragon X1 series CPUs. The Linux support isn’t there yet, but it’s likely just a matter of time before we too can enjoy excellent battery life and great performance.
