The government has proposed, starting this summer, to make it illegal for people in Sweden to pay someone to have sex or masturbate in front of a camera. One of the arguments for the bill is that platforms such as OnlyFans could become a gateway to prostitution. Prostitution, the oldest business in the world, really shouldn’t be illegal.
Especially if there is a way to do it privately and safely away from actual people. This could just force people into actual prostitution who had no interest in doing it before due to lack of options.
I would be stunned if this bill passes.
