I have been wondering, whether pets ever get bored of always being fed the same. I guess, lots of pets are carnivores, where even in the wild, you just get variations of meat, so maybe they don’t care…
My dog will refuse to eat some foods if he has it too many days in a row, and he eats new kibble more enthusiastically than whatever he’s been eating lately. He’s a very picky eater for such a food obsessed little chonker.
They certainly can. Pets often develop preferences for certain foods, and our cats certainly get excited when we break out the fancy foods.
