Don’t ever write any really private data to the SSD in cleartext. Use an encrypted file system. “Erase” by throwing away the key. That said, for modern fast SSD’s the performance overhead of the encryption might be a problem. For the old SATA SSD in my laptop, I don’t notice it.

Gluster? I don’t know much about it. As someone else asked, how much data are you talking about? Do you need a file store (mutable files), or are you ok with an object store (immutable)?
NFS is still a thing.
Nice. It appears to run on a phone under termux, rather than being a server app. Good to know about either way. Why flask? That’s a web server thing, I thought.
Are there not already about a zillion of these?
