      Tbf, he wasn’t born into wealth, as he’s the son of the now crown princess from a prior marriage, before she married the crown prince.

    See, the great thing about democracies (compared to monarchies) is that the heads of state and their families are subject to the same laws as everyone else…oh, wait.

      Norway is both a monarchy and a democracy. There are several countries in Europe that are considered to be some of the most democratic in the world, which just happen to have a monarch as the head of state instead of a president.

      What you are thinking of is an absolute monarchy, rather than a constitutional monarchy.

      He’s about as royal as you and me. He’s just the child from a former relationship of the woman who then married the ‘real royal’ prince.
