Because we’re ruled by idiots, who are voted into positions of power by even greater idiots and/or gullible people.
Democracy, power by the people for the people, but the people are retarded
Democracy only works well if people are sufficiently educated, critically thinking and engaged.
Not speaking out against democracy here, rather pointing out severe gaps in our education systems.
