Billionaire Andrej Babis’s ANO party was on track to win the Czech Republic’s parliamentary election on Saturday, raising the prospect of a government that would boost Europe’s populist, anti-immigration camp and reduce support for Ukraine.
I find it hillarious People has turned to a populist billionaire to “save their country” all around the world. Wasn’t the point of a democratic process not, to reduce the power of the elite to benefit the People? (reduce power to the rich/government) what do you find so attractive in billionaires Saying what you wanna hear, just to, in the end, reduce taxes of the 1% (their friends and doners)?
These billionaires own the media outright. And people are fucking retarded at the best of times, and these aren’t the best of times.
They find their ownership of the media attractive. It’s not like it’s a fair game the billionaires are playing.
But my point is, how is the citizens not asking themselves: “What does this billionaire have as personal gain, from his populist agenda?”
What was the quote… Imagine how dumb the average voter is and now remember that half of them are even dumber.
But still, isn’t that also showing in USA voter surveys: most people agree with socialist politics if they are not called that. So while I do agree that they should think a bit harder about it, indoctrination from “conservative” media is in my opinion the most important tool they have.
