Lawmakers approved the exclusion of plant-based products from certain labels, with strong support from France's livestock and meat industry.

Language is descriptive not prescriptive.

If “veggie sausage” conveys what I mean, then it’s perfectly acceptable language.

The only reason there’s even a question about this is because the meat industry is panicking.
