inb4 this idea being lobbied out of existence :(
EDIT: it is a great idea though!
I have a Prusa MK4 and i really like it. Even though you would get better quality prints with the same amount of money else where, its just good enough for my needs. And i love having the peace of mind that the owner behind it really likes open source. I do not have the feeling that i get features stripped away from me or some other corpo bullshit ruining my day. Use it since 2.5 years (~5 prints/month) now never had to fix anything.
iit: nerds unable to comprehend that building a piece of software from source in not something every person can do.
EDIT: or doesn’t want to do
Different topic but isn’t it weird that they have to talk to Apple and Google for an App to be blocked… Wouldn’t the first step be to prohibit DeepSeek business in Germany directly. Maybe they did though and it probably is easier this way regardless.
Not a completely blind eye I would say. I think Germany also threatened ChatGPT to be blocked when it was new. But they do probably have a bias towards China nevertheless.
I guess its in the nature of open source. However really need to get on top of the search results of “install linux”. I like the End of 10 campaign, however i also have just noticed that in their install guide they don’t specify where to get Linux exactly just
