But the AfricaMuseum is not keen on the proposal. “We would like to work with them on certain files — but what we could not accept was their proposal to take over our entire geological archive,” AfricaMuseum Director Bart Ouvry told DW.
“The privatization of a complete archive is not possible for us. We would consider it unethical to leave this to a company.”
A museum digitization project is already ongoing — in cooperation with the National Geological Survey of the DRC and supported by the European Union, Ouvry explained.
“We started development two years ago. When they [KoBold Metals] approached us last year, our project was already quite advanced. Production actually began in January. We have hired staff for this work, because part of it is technical, but the majority is scientific in nature and must be carried out by our own scientists,” Ouvry said
The National Geological Survey of the DRC has also given the AfricaMuseum “priority,” according to Ouvry. “We will prioritize three regions that are currently most important to the Congolese government, and the data for those regions will be transferred to them very soon.”
Within four to five years, the entire archive is expected to be digitized and made available to the public in accordance with Belgian and European law, Ouvry said

Not to say the historical dispute isn’t important, but is it more pressing than the threat of Russia? Imo totally not, the despite can be dealt with after Russia has been dealt with. Glad to see such a large percentage of Poles believe so too.

The Schengen area is not at stake, for those who don’t know geography, Ceuta is in Africa, it’s isolated. Heck! It isn’t even part of the Schengen area in the first place
I believe the danger they see is that these people are now allowed to ask for asylum, and while waiting on that the decision are free to roam Spain. Since there are no internal border checks, they can basically travel all around the Schengen area and ask for another asylum in the next country. i’m not really sure of the exact rules, but them hanging around in Ceuta is not the danger they see.

I was thinking more of Asia and the global South, and not UK, US, Canada and Australia. Though I guess those people might find someone selling the EU version online.
Aside from those western countries outside of Europe only a small percentage of people in the world can afford to buy from a European store in euros and pay for shipping. Logitech is already a premium product in those countries. Even in a place like Japan, Taiwan and South-Korea that might mean paying double compared to genuine one from a local reseller.
But i guess the more Europe sells the better, so I’m all for it :)
Right! Obviously different from a warning for a hazardous banana peel:

And the warning sign for two unpeeled bananas, (really dangerous stuff)

This is false, the signs are about whether you can, should or can’t peel a banana.

Maybe because in his view of the world Andrew Tate is not a bad role model. Imagine how twisted your world view has to be to think that though. Or maybe, he’s just afraid to lose a voter, you know how those populists are. They do anything for that vote.

Paris and Berlin seek deal to strengthen protections in the EU’s Industrial Accelerator Act and soften the combustion engine ban.
PARIS — Emmanuel Macron and Friedrich Merz are trying to jump-start the Franco-German engine one final time.
After joint ministerial meetings in Germany last week, the leaders of the European Union’s two biggest economies have tasked their governments with striking a grand bargain that they say would strengthen Europe’s industrial defenses and revive the bloc’s automotive industry — key priorities for the two countries.

Israel commits war crimes.
Western Russia is historically a European culture though, definitely if you scale out and look further than just a single century. I see how it is now as far-east European, (because Putin wants to distinguish himself from Eastern-Europeans), but still Europe. Not all of it though, large parts of Eastern Russia were basically colonized and the original inhabitants of those regions have very different cultures. Geographically you can argue Russia is half European, half Asian; but you could also argue both are the same continent making Russia a central Eurasian country. But then we come back to the original topic, what part of west-Eurasia is actually west-Eurasia?

Thanks for clarifying, it’s important these things are clear. Sadly, i don’t know what is true exactly while i do know what ‘the people’ think is true. Could have made it more clear myself I don’t know what the actual truth is.
