Only if you suck at typing I guess. I make use of swiping keyboards as well for the past… 12+ years I think.

Sounds like a good idea to have them fail when you really need them. Most people won’t use them occasionally in order to “clean them up” from rust etc.

I’ve been running it for years now. No issues.
